ORGANIC RESTAURANTS IN:
Goin' to Canada, eh? There is a whole lot to see in this expansive country, from the impressive fossil cliffs of the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia to the Rockies out West. Trains and busses can get you around the more urbanized sections of the country well, but as you get more rural and northerly a car may be needed. Quebec offers you a taste of Francophone culture in North America, while Vancouver represents Asian immigrants. Large markets will serve you well in places like Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver. You can get vegetarian-friendly and/or organic Asian, Canadian, Middle Eastern restaurants in any big city. Canadian groceries tend to offer fresh, natural items, so it's no problem to find great bread and flax spread for a nosh, or the ingredients for home feasts. There is more to Canada than poutines and back bacon, although the intrepid may want to try those with a beer or two. You just better be able to figure out how many beers are in a metric six-pack!
