Boston, MA
Boston has long been known as Beantown thanks to the savory baked beans that locals served sailors and traders who passed through the city back in colonial times. Given the dominance local sports teams like the New England Patriots, the Boston Celtics, the Bruins and the Boston Red Sox have enjoyed in more recent times, Boston is also well-known as the City of Champions these days.
New York, NY
What comes to mind when you think about New York City? Tourist attractions like the Statue of Liberty, professional sports teams like the New York Yankees or the Rangers, and world-renowned retailers may spring into your thoughts.
If you love to eat, then images of food probably dominate your thoughts if you think of The Big Apple, which is understandable since a food item is part of the city’s most recognizable nickname. While an apple a day may keep the doctor away, New York City isn’t necessarily known for its apple pie. Instead, the city is known as a hotbed of culinary creations that have, thankfully, made their way well beyond NYC’s borders.
